Overview

Eccentric Machines is developing Sentor, an AI-native motion platform for robotics and electromechanical systems. The Senior Mechatronics Technician will ensure the quality of prototype assemblies and mechanical test setups while driving quality improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously learn and understand the technologies involved.
  • Assemble and adjust precision mechanisms, including actuators and motor components.
  • Fabricate parts such as brackets and fixtures using appropriate methods.
  • Inspect dimensions and alignments, recording results against specifications.
  • Create repeatable test setups and install necessary sensors and loads.
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical problems through inspection and testing.
  • Flag tolerance conflicts and assembly difficulties early in the process.
  • Generate clear documentation of specifications, measurements, and test results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in building and troubleshooting mechanisms with a focus on fit and alignment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and tolerances.
  • Demonstrated machining or precision fabrication skills.
  • Experience with controlled tightening and surface preparation of components.
  • Proven independent troubleshooting skills in mechanical systems.
