Job Description

Overview

As a Plant Mechanic at Banner Health, you will maintain critical equipment such as boilers and chillers while supporting multiple facilities in the West Valley. This position offers growth opportunities within a collaborative team focused on improving patient lives.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain power plant and facility utilities equipment.
  • Repair steam/hot water boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain detailed logs of facility equipment and shift activity.
  • Respond to general maintenance and emergency calls as needed.
  • Assist as a member of the Fire Response Team.
  • Drive company vehicles to transport equipment and personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, plus vocational or technical training.
  • 1 year of experience as a Plant Mechanic.
  • Working knowledge of utility and infrastructure systems in healthcare.
  • Current Boiler Operator’s License if required by state.
  • Proficient in reading maintenance and construction documents.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with plant computer software programs.
