Overview

The Outfitter position at Hanwha Philly Shipyard involves installing and maintaining various pipe systems and ship machinery while adhering to safety procedures. The role requires a combination of technical skills in welding, pipe fitting, and assembly in a heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Install pipes and various pipe components.
  • Assemble, test, and install pipe packages.
  • Perform pipe welding.
  • Manufacture and install foundations.
  • Assemble, test, and install different skids.
  • Install fittings and equipment.
  • Manufacture and maintain pipelines.
  • Weld flanges, collars, penetrations, skid frames, foundations, and some pipes.
  • Assemble, connect, and test pipelines between skids and equipment.
  • Manufacture fitting pipe models.
  • Install and align ship machinery using precision measurement tools.
  • Perform as an outside machinist.
  • Use resins.
  • Read and interpret installation drawings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
  • Participate in developing working methods and preparing investments.
  • Ensure competency in work tasks.
  • Carry out tasks according to general rules and working instructions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
