Overview

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing machinery, processing equipment, and the mobile fleet, requiring a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and ensuring maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and team members to prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills, including knowledge of electrical, automation, and hydraulics.
  • Experience with conveyors, feeders, mills, and kilns.
  • Skilled in metal fabrication, cutting, and welding.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
