Overview

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift to join their team dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings. The role involves equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose equipment and machinery issues to identify root causes of failures.
  • Repair machinery and equipment as needed and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain facilities equipment, tools, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Conduct maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including lockout and tagout procedures.
  • Accurately document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used.
  • Assist in other areas or departments as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years in a manufacturing or facilities maintenance role.
  • Ability to perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC machinery is preferred.
  • Proficient in working with 110V, 220V, and 480V systems.
  • Physically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning heavy components.
  • Able to perform tasks independently and collaborate effectively.
  • Consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with variable temperature settings.
  • Professional and respectful communication with all levels of Management.
