Overview

Muehlhan Wind Service is seeking experienced Offshore Commissioning Technicians for the Vineyard Wind Project off the coast of Massachusetts. This role involves commissioning wind turbines and offers a chance to contribute to the renewable energy sector while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults in wind turbines, focusing on GE technologies.
  • Perform troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal turbine performance.
  • Commission new wind turbines and support operational readiness activities.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Identify, report, and implement solutions to technical and operational issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Prepare accurate technical reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams for successful project delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a commissioner within the wind industry.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening, background check, motor vehicle record check, and physical examination.
  • Ability to work in demanding environments, including adverse weather conditions and flexible schedules.
  • Ability to safely use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to climb ladders exceeding 800 feet multiple times per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical faults.
  • Good understanding of wind turbine systems and operational processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Additional Information

  • Technicians will live on a service vessel and work rotations of three weeks on and three weeks off.
  • Meals, transportation, lodging, equipment, and training are provided by the company.
