Overview

At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. The Boeing Defense, Space and Security division is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer (Mid-level or Senior) in Mesa, AZ to support various helicopter programs and ensure structural integrity through detailed analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed structural analysis to determine structural integrity using classical techniques and Boeing tools.
  • Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity using analytical methods and finite element models.
  • Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze test results.
  • Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Ensure structural integrity and airworthiness of operational products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences.
  • 5+ years of experience working with stress analysis/structural analysis.
  • Experience working with Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis.
  • Degree from an ABET accredited school in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Structural Engineering field (preferred).
  • Experience in aircraft and/or static structures stress analysis (preferred).
  • Experience using CAD Software (CATIA, NX, Solidworks, etc.) (preferred).
  • Experience with FEM Software (Patran / Nastran, ABAQUS, etc.) (preferred).
  • Strong experience with various communication Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) (preferred).
  • Experience with Boeing analysis tools (preferred).
