Job Description

Overview

This position is for a Structural & Misc Metals Fabricator/Erector based in Miami, FL, requiring skilled tradespeople for both shop fabrication and field erection of metal structures. The role involves working with various metal components and requires substantial experience in both shop and field settings.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate columns, beams, stairs, rails, gates, canopies, and custom metal in the shop.
  • Read shop drawings and hold tolerances.
  • Fit columns and beams including coping, base plates, cap plates, and clips.
  • Build jigs for custom jobs.
  • Operate tools such as torch, plasma, saws, grinders, shears, notcher, ironworker, and pipe bender.
  • Set columns and beams in the field, ensuring they are plumb and bolted up.
  • Conduct field measurements, leveling, and anchoring.
  • Perform field welding and bolting.
  • Handle rigging and signaling.
  • Operate boom lifts and scissor lifts.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in structural and miscellaneous metals fabrication.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in field erection.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • OSHA 10 certification and fall protection training.
  • General liability insurance and W-9 form.

Additional Information

  • Position is for per-job subcontract work.
  • Work locations include a shop in Miami (33126) and various jobsites in South Florida.
