Job Description

Overview

This position is for a Structural & Misc Metals Fabricator/Erector based in Miami, with work at various South Florida job sites. The role involves both shop fabrication and field erection of metal structures including columns, beams, stairs, and custom metal work.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate structural and miscellaneous metals in the shop.
  • Read shop drawings and hold tolerances.
  • Fit columns and beams, including coping and installing base plates.
  • Build jigs for custom jobs.
  • Operate tools such as torch, plasma cutter, saws, grinders, shears, notcher, ironworker, and pipe bender.
  • Erect metal structures in the field, setting columns and beams, ensuring they are plumb and bolted.
  • Perform field measurements, leveling, and anchoring.
  • Conduct field welding and bolting.
  • Manage rigging and signaling.
  • Operate boom lifts and scissor lifts.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in structural and miscellaneous metals fabrication.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in field erection.
  • Ability to read shop drawings.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • OSHA 10 certification and fall protection training.
