Job Description

Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Technician (Level 2/3) in Redondo Beach, California, to assist mechanical engineers in the development, assembly, and integration of Space Vehicle components and systems. Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanical engineers in the development, assembly, and integration of Space Vehicle mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
  • Participate in the development of sub-system and system test methodology.
  • Assist with setting up and testing complete prototype and flight units and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience for Level 2.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience for Level 3.
  • Willing to work any shift and cover extended work weeks as required.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Requires an active Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
