Overview

The Laser Technician will manage and support all aspects of laser equipment and operations for laser welding technology, ensuring consistent quality and performance while collaborating with various departments and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support laser equipment and operations for laser welding technology.
  • Support production lines utilizing laser welding.
  • Troubleshoot laser problems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Control and install equipment updates/upgrades.
  • Assist in training department managers and operators.
  • Assist maintenance department in maintaining support equipment.
  • Maintain parts inventory and procurement.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and effective department.
  • Work with other divisions on projects and technology.

Requirements

  • Must have working knowledge of CO2 laser producing equipment, specifically PRC brand lasers.
  • 3 plus years of practical experience working on CO2 lasers.
  • Electrical background.
  • Circuit board knowledge.
  • Computer systems knowledge.
  • Knowledge of laser gas systems.
  • Knowledge of chilled water systems.
  • Knowledge of compressed air systems.
  • Knowledge of exhaust systems.
