Job Description

Overview

This position is for a Structural & Misc Metals Fabricator/Erector based in a Miami shop with work at various South Florida jobsites. The role involves both shop fabrication and field erection of metal structures including columns, beams, stairs, and custom metal projects.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate structural and miscellaneous metals in the shop.
  • Read shop drawings and hold tolerances.
  • Fit columns and beams, including cope, base plates, cap plates, and clips.
  • Build jigs for custom jobs.
  • Operate tools such as torch, plasma, saws, grinders, shears, notcher, ironworker, and pipe bender.
  • Erect columns and beams in the field, ensuring they are plumb and bolted.
  • Field measure, level, and anchor metal structures.
  • Perform field welding and bolting.
  • Conduct rigging and signaling.
  • Operate boom lifts and scissor lifts.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of structural and miscellaneous metals fabrication experience.
  • 3-5+ years of field erection experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 10 and fall protection.
