Responsibilities
- Perform highly technically complex tasks and demonstrate a higher degree of independence.
- Diagnose and repair complex machinery and conduct preventive maintenance.
- Provide support to Operators around machine overall equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with production associates and other technicians to solve problems.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment setup and production changeovers.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Recognize and report unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations.
- Follow all safety standards and quality protocols.
- Utilize safety precautions to minimize exposure to hazards.
- Maintain work records and prepare clear reports.
- Work all required work schedules.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Expert proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, welding, and rigging.
- Intermediate proficiency with PLC.
- Commitment to continuous learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Maintain Perdue Farms QEW Certification.
- Demonstrate and maintain Maintenance Tech III proficiency within 10 months of hire.
