Job Description

Overview

The Shipboard Piping Fabrication Welder is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and joining metal piping systems that transport water, fuel, and gases. The role requires interpreting blueprints and executing multi-process welding in various positions while ensuring compliance with marine codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, fit, and join metal piping systems including carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper-nickel.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to sequence tasks and set up work.
  • Execute multi-process welding (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW) in all positions, including overhead and mirror welding.
  • Inspect finished welds, identify defects, and ensure compliance with marine codes and safety standards.

What you'll be running
