Overview

At Nestlé Health Science, the Mechanic B is responsible for maintaining machines to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions. The role involves performing diverse duties related to installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and influence associates to resolve safety-related issues.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for problem-solving projects.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Coach others on the operation of machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery, perform diagnostic tests, and check performance.
  • Provide emergency repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during service.
  • Construct and fabricate electrical parts and review specifications for installations.
  • Troubleshoot control cabinets and replace components as needed.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform high-level technical inspections.
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain plant utility systems such as boilers and air compressors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Mechanical/electrical trade background or Journeyman or equivalent technical school background.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS is strongly recommended.
  • Technical degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of CMMS system and ability to analyze reports.
  • Ability to read blueprints and generate rough sketches.
  • Advanced mathematical and reading skills.
  • Mechanically inclined with ability to use standard tools.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical principles.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as lathes and welding machines.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.

  • Schedule: 1st shift, 5:00AM-5:30PM.
  • Week 1: Wednesday-Saturday; Week 2: Thursday-Saturday.
