Overview

Novolex is a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging, providing solutions across multiple industries. The Maintenance Lead position in Franklin Park, IL, involves ensuring facility maintenance and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to ensure buildings are properly maintained.
  • Work with AC & DC motors and drive systems.
  • Isolate electrical and electronic problems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Complete general repairs to buildings and structures.
  • Learn tool changes and machine setups on equipment.
  • Communicate information to team members and maintenance leadership.
  • Learn and follow written procedures related to work orders and maintenance.
  • Possess knowledge of multi meters, amp meters, and test equipment.
  • Follow safe work rules for cutting, welding, and repairs.
  • Learn and follow all department and plant policies.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Own hand tools.
  • Valid driver's license and Pactiv certification required.
  • Ability to operate lathe, mill, and shop tools.
  • Ability to operate shop-welding equipment.
  • Good performance, safety, and attendance records.
  • Ability to follow safety rules and Good Manufacturing Policy.
  • Understand written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and man lifts.
  • Minimum 2 years of completed technical school.

  • Compensation starting range from $30.00 up to $51.00 per hour based on experience.
