Overview

Altrad Sparrows, part of the internationally recognized Altrad Group, is expanding its Houston team and seeking skilled, safety-driven Overhead Crane Mechanics to perform critical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on overhead cranes and lifting equipment across industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair overhead cranes, hoists, trolley systems, and related industrial lifting equipment.
  • Identify root causes for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Perform scheduled service and inspections for onshore and offshore crane equipment.
  • Read and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic drawings, and service manuals.
  • Identify required replacement components and maintain accurate service documentation and tool control.
  • Follow all company, client, OSHA, and environmental safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Overhead Crane Mechanic, Crane Technician, Hoist Technician, or Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Understanding of rigging practices and safe lifting procedures.
  • Clean motor vehicle record required.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate with clients professionally.
