Responsibilities

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Utilize technical support resources in troubleshooting and identifying parts needed for repair.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with Altec Safety practices and procedures.
• Advise supervisors of situations that may impact customer relationships.
• Provide accurate information on all required documents.
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED.
• Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, or similar heavy equipment.
• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician focused on heavy equipment.
• Education in mechanics, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to move objects and tools weighing up to 75 pounds.
• High level of dexterity.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Advocate safety in all tasks.
