Overview

Epiroc is a global productivity partner for mining and construction customers, focusing on innovative and safe equipment for sustainable practices. The company is seeking an Assembler to join their team, responsible for assembling hydraulic and mechanical components while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Install and connect hydraulic and mechanical components and systems.
  • Mount, hook-up and connect engines, gear boxes, axles and other power components and units.
  • Assemble mounted hydraulic products including installation and tightening of bolts and hydraulic hoses per work instructions.
  • Rig and lift components using a crane.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the assembly area and perform 5S activities.
  • Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to the Supervisor.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Identify and report safety risks.
  • Maintain work-related records and reports.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed.
  • Train new hires.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts.
  • Return non-required parts to the Warehouse.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components/systems.
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office and ERP Systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years assembly experience.
  • Able to use and comprehend specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Utilizing hand and power tools.

Additional Information

  • Work Type: Onsite
  • Shift Timings: Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles.
  • Employees are required to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift 100 pounds or more.
  • Role may require climbing heights of 4–6 feet using ladders and operating powered industrial trucks.
