Overview

The Sr. Operator position involves operating CNC lathes, mills, and related equipment, performing machining operations, and ensuring quality production according to specifications. The role requires a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to work in a high-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, and related equipment.
• Perform set-up adjustments and machining operations on CNC machines.
• Check parts using micrometers, calipers, and other gauges.
• Make offset adjustments and change inserts as needed.
• Meet production schedules for quality product output.
• Read and interpret applicable SOPs and SOIs.
• Accurately report process and machine-specific data.
• Report inventory, labor, and defect data transactions on the CIMA system.

Requirements

• Ability to operate lathes, horizontal drilling machines, mills, and shot blast equipment.
• Preferred five or more years of experience with various CNC equipment and metal preparation.
• High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Functional math and metal surface preparation skills.
• Knowledge and ability to use all gauges and instruments required for job tasks.

Additional Information

• Work environment includes elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt, and grease.
• Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
• High-paced production environment to meet standards.
