Overview

MasTec Professional Services provides results-driven engineering, design, and integrated services to the power, oil & gas pipeline, and gas distribution industries. The Corrosion Technician performs tests, repairs, and maintenance related to pipeline corrosion, inspecting and testing facilities to identify existing and potential corrosion problems.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and make field decisions without direct supervision.
  • Obtain field data to determine the condition of structures under evaluation.
  • Compile and submit field data for senior staff review.
  • Be familiar with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects.
  • Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in the corrosion control industry, particularly related to cathodic protection work.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with team members, clients, and management staff.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required for the job.
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Current certification with NACE International as a Corrosion Technician, CP Level 1 preferred.

Additional Information

  • This position may require significant time standing or walking on uneven ground, possible climbing of ladders or being in high places, working in tight spaces, lifting up to 60 pounds, and being overall physically demanding.
  • May require work in an all-weather environment.
