Overview

Magellan Aerospace is a global aerospace company with over 80 years of experience, seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join their manufacturing team in New York. The role requires experience in assembling aerospace components, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble aerospace components using tools, jigs, presses, and shop equipment as required.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to routers, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Perform functional tests on assemblies as applicable.
  • Utilize basic mechanical inspection equipment to verify quality.
  • Input data into the MRP software (training provided for new hires).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in assembly or related inspection work.
  • Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using standard measuring equipment and test instruments.
  • Strong understanding of basic shop math for measurements and calculations.
