Overview

The Welder position involves performing various types of welding on metals while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The role requires reading blueprints and using various tools, and candidates must have relevant experience and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding on various metals.
  • Ensure work is done safely, efficiently, and meets quality standards.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools.
  • Follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder.
  • Welding certification (such as AWS or ASME) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • Must pass a welding test.
