Overview

At HyAxiom, a leading provider of hydrogen fuel cell solutions, the Field Service Technician II provides hands-on maintenance and repair services for fuel cell installations. The role involves troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning new fuel cells at various sites.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on fuel cells installed at customer sites.
  • Collaborate on commissioning of new fuel cell installations.
  • Perform service and troubleshooting on ancillary equipment for fuel cell operation.
  • Understand principles of large distribution switchgear 480-volt systems.
  • Utilize computer systems, preferably remote monitoring and control systems.
  • Understand mechanical and electrical componentry, plumbing, and systems operation.
  • Utilize the fuel cell remote monitoring system to control fuel cells as directed.
  • Use electrical schematics to troubleshoot electrical components.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Report company expenses in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of hands-on experience servicing/troubleshooting electrical and mechanical products.
  • AA/AS degree with 2-4+ years of experience.
  • Electrical/HVAC trade school certification.
  • E1/E2 or P1/P2 license preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and fuel processing systems.
  • Some training and experience with troubleshooting systems.
  • Experience with computer systems.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
