Overview
Fluidstack is focused on delivering large-scale compute infrastructure for AI, aiming to enhance human freedom through technology. They are looking for a Robotic Weld Cell Engineer to manage robotic welding processes and improve production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own the robotic weld cells, including programming, fixturing interface, and weld quality.
- Develop weld programs for structural steel assemblies to manage distortion.
- Commission new cells with integrators and oversee their acceptance to production rate.
- Increase first-pass yield using data to minimize rework at the parameter level.
Requirements
- Experience programming and running robotic welding in a production environment.
- Deep knowledge of GMAW, including parameters, transfer modes, and arc behavior.
- Ability to solve distortion and penetration issues on heavy weldments.
- Familiarity with WPS discipline and capability to write one.
- Collaboration with quality teams on inspections and corrective actions.
- Bonus: Familiarity with AWS D1.1, Fanuc, ABB, or Yaskawa arc packages, offline programming, and fixture design input.
