Overview

Geiger is seeking a Furniture Repair & Touch-Up Technician to inspect, repair, and restore furniture components to meet quality standards. The company offers a competitive wage, benefits starting on the first day, and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished furniture components to identify defects or damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
  • Perform touch-up and repair work on wood, laminate, and metal components.
  • Ensure repaired materials meet or exceed established quality standards.
  • Use hand tools and finishing materials to complete repair work effectively and efficiently.
  • Communicate quality issues and recurring defects to production team members and supervisors.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of product defects and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on proper repair and touch-up techniques when needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support production and business objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Ability to acquire a competent level of skill knowledge around quality and production standards within six months.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Excellent color acuity.
  • Ability to read, understand, communicate and interpret written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within the team and with members of other teams.
  • Willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.
  • Commitment to team success through reliable attendance.
