Overview

MJ Celco is a family owned metal stamping and fabrication company seeking an experienced MIG & TIG Welder to join our team in Schiller Park. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards are met
  • Grind, fit, and prepare materials as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work collaboratively with fabrication and production teams

Requirements

  • Previous MIG & TIG welding experience required
  • Ability to read blueprints and measuring tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
