Overview

Litania Sports Group is seeking skilled TIG/MIG Welders for their 2nd shift, offering competitive pay and a 4-day workweek. The company has a long-standing reputation in the sports equipment industry, providing quality products for athletes and organizations across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and/or MIG welding on steel and aluminum components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications
  • Set up welding equipment, including jigs, gas pressure, wire speed, and amperage
  • Complete welds according to quality, safety, and production standards
  • Inspect finished products for defects and accuracy
  • Perform water-tight welds and occasional pipe welding
  • Remove weld splatter and maintain a clean work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Move completed products to the next stage of the manufacturing process

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proven TIG and/or MIG welding experience on steel and/or aluminum
  • Ability to perform continuous welds up to 24 inches preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and work in a drug-free environment

Additional Information

  • Pay: $20-$25/hour, based on experience and demonstrated welding proficiency
  • Shift Differential: Additional $2/hour
  • Bonus Eligible: Up to 20% bonus potential, paid bi-weekly and quarterly
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM (4-day workweek), with overtime opportunities as needed
  • Position Type: Hourly, Full-Time

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
