Overview

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs, requiring a collaborative individual who can work in a dynamic environment. This role may involve remote work and travel to various locations for vehicle support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or in the field.
  • Identify and explain the Rivian product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories.
  • Utilize technical resources to follow Rivian repair procedures efficiently.
  • Conduct road tests to ensure the quality of repairs.
  • Manage parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
  • Identify areas of improvement and provide feedback to senior technicians or leadership.
  • Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
  • Document all work and technical notes for internal and external use.
  • Work collaboratively with a team and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate professionally in customer-facing situations.
  • Stay current with technical skills and complete required training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or recognized high school equivalency credential required.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred.
  • Must be available for a 40-hour work week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient with laptops or computers in Windows or Mac environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and speak fluent English.
