Overview

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service through the meticulous assessment and repair of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition. This role emphasizes quality, speed, and teamwork within the repair facility, aligning with the company's commitment to customer excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  • Plan necessary repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
  • Use various tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
  • Hammer out dents and apply filler resins for repairs.
  • Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
  • Remove damaged sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts.
  • Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
  • Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
  • Weld and fit parts into place and repaint vehicles as required.
  • Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles post-repair.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
  • Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate with other repairers in an auto body shop.
  • Thorough understanding of methods and procedures for vehicle body repair.
  • Thorough understanding of tools required for the trade.
