Overview

C&W Services is seeking a Welding Pipefitting Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on various piping systems and structural systems in a safety-conscious environment. The role involves both pipe fitting and welding tasks, requiring certification and a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems, and structural systems.
  • Layout and fabricate new and replacement piping systems.
  • Install valves and related piping equipment.
  • Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and provide feedback on service delivery.
  • Read blueprints and interpret isometric diagrams.
  • Weld components using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
  • Cut workpieces using powered saws or hand tools.
  • Inspect welded surfaces for quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain personal tools and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate with team members to assist in planning and achieving company goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or approved GED required; AA degree in Welding preferred.
  • 0-2+ years of industrial pipe fitting, pipe welding, and repairs experience required.
  • 1-2 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.
  • Certification in welding required.
  • Ability to observe details at close range and control precision.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely.

Additional Information

  • Location: Blair, Nebraska
  • Work schedule: 4 10-hour days Mon-Thur or Tues-Fri 6a-4:30p
  • Must have flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends.
