Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Welder or Welder-Mechanic with at least 5 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in welding, metal fabrication, trailer and truck body repairs, and general repair work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trailer body repairs including sidewalls, floors, roofs, corner rails, top and bottom rails, floor beams and cross members, and side, freezer, and liftgate steps.
  • Repair and replace trailer landing legs and associated components.
  • Repair straight truck bodies and structural components.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic liftgates.
  • Fabricate custom parts, brackets, hooks, and components as needed.
  • Repair and weld rear axle/banjo housings.
  • Replace and paint tractor and truck hoods.
  • Replace and paint bumpers on tractors and straight trucks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Complete work efficiently while meeting quality standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience working on commercial trucks and trailers preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to read measuring tools and perform precise fabrication work.
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a shop environment.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Mechanical repair experience is a plus.
