Overview

The Terminal Operations Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient cargo transfer operation at Targa’s Galena Park Marine Terminal in Galena Park, TX, which includes managing shore equipment and performing various operational duties.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and efficient cargo transfer operations at the marine docks.
  • Manage and operate shore equipment including cranes, loading arms, and gangways.
  • Maintain and operate pumps, compressors, valves, boilers, dehydration, and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Ability to access equipment on barges and ships, including heavy lifting.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Ability to work in a self-managed team environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and flexible with task management.
  • Ability to work with a multi-national customer base.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
