Overview

PCC Aerostructures manufactures world-class assemblies and components for the global aerospace market, with over 35 plants worldwide and ambitious growth plans. The Night Machinist operates CNC machine cells and standalone machines, requiring basic setup and inspection skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with work orders and document job orders.
  • Ensure lot traceability and manage tools and inspection equipment.
  • Perform equipment and area maintenance, including coolant and oil levels.
  • Set up machines by loading fixtures, tools, and programs.
  • Operate machines, including part loading and adjusting offsets.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and moderate complexity bench inspections.
  • Meet production goals and maintain productivity and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency of Machinist – Level 1 competencies.
  • Basic shop math skills.
  • Ability to read basic technical documentation and drawings after training.
  • Familiarity with hand measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and verify manufacturing order documentation.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Machinist certificate strongly preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience.

  • May be required to move items up to 35 pounds.
  • Daily duties may require various physical activities including sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Exposed to a manufacturing setting with heavy machinery.
