Overview

AmeriGas, founded in 1959, is the nation’s premier propane company serving over 1.5 million customers. The ACE Leadman position is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the production output of a shift while ensuring safety compliance and quality in the processing of cylinders.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in all aspects of production including sorting, inspecting, cleaning, labeling, and refilling empty cylinders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes and policies, especially regarding proper PPE usage.
  • Pre-train new personnel in all aspects of production and monitor workflow in the production center.
  • Maintain consistent quality of cylinders being processed.
  • Ensure daily goals of cylinders are ready for distribution and shipment.
  • Work with employees to accomplish production goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • 0 to 1 years supervisory/lead experience in a manufacturing or related industry.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical lifting of cylinders up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be safety-focused with strong people skills.
  • Able to lead by example with an exceptional work ethic.
  • Mechanically inclined.
