Overview

Aquatech is a leading global provider of water and process technology solutions, addressing water scarcity and sustainability challenges through innovative approaches. They are seeking a full-time Certified Welding Inspector to join their Houston, TX office, focusing on ensuring project quality and compliance with relevant codes.

Responsibilities

  • Track and ensure the closure of all non-conformities.
  • Submit required project quality documentation to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Review contract documents and job specifications to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Maintain Project Inspection and Test Plans and inspect pressure vessels, piping, and structural fabrications.
  • Communicate daily with suppliers and internal Project Teams.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of related experience is required.
  • High school graduate or technical, Welding, or quality-related higher education is preferred.
  • A current CWI certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ASME and AWS welding requirements.
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, piping, and structural fabrications.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of ASME Sections V, VIII/IX, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, and AWS D1.1 codes.
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Significant travel (30%+) is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a valid passport are required.
