Overview

Piping Technology & Products (PT&P) is a leader in the design and manufacturing of engineered products for piping systems, serving industries like oil & gas, power, and chemicals since 1978. The Leadman provides hands-on leadership and technical guidance to production employees on the shop floor, coordinating work assignments and ensuring quality and safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support production employees during daily manufacturing operations
  • Assign and prioritize work based on production schedules and supervisor direction
  • Provide on-the-job guidance and training to new and existing employees
  • Monitor workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and according to specifications
  • Perform hands-on production work alongside the team as needed
  • Ensure quality standards, work instructions, and drawings are followed
  • Identify and communicate production issues, delays, or material shortages to supervision
  • Promote and enforce safety practices, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards
  • Assist with basic quality checks and documentation
  • Support onboarding and cross-training of production employees
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience leading hourly craft or production employees is preferred
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, fabrication, or assembly
  • Strong understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting
  • Must be able to pass measuring tape skills test
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and production schedules
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
