Overview

The Quality Inspector ensures that all components and assemblies used in the manufacturing of mixers and agitators meet company standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This role requires expertise in precision measurement techniques, inspection of fabricated and machined parts, and verification of welds, finishes, and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on machined, fabricated, and welded parts used in mixers and agitators.
• Verify dimensional accuracy of mechanical components using a wide range of precision measurement tools.
• Inspect welds, surface finishes, coatings, and assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T requirements for complex components.
• Conduct functional and performance checks as required.
• Use advanced tools such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or portable measuring arms when applicable.
• Provide feedback to machinists, welders, and assemblers to address quality issues at the source.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring defects.
• Contribute to lean and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection efficiency and product reliability.
• Ensure safe inspection practices, including proper lifting, handling, and use of measuring tools.
• Adhere to company HSE policies and report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
• Verify supplier documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Perform final inspections of seals following trimming and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) operations.
• Coordinate with calibration vendors and internal departments to manage the gage calibration and recall program.
• Document Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) upon identification of nonconforming products.
