Overview

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution, providing a diverse product and service portfolio. The Machine Operator role involves production and inspection of work orders while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Fin Tube machines while achieving precise tolerances and finishing requirements.
  • Inspect in-process material as specified in work instructions and report any non-compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure all safety equipment is utilized.
  • Record quality data, scrap counts, and material usage accurately.

Requirements

  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Report incidents that may impact work or team members.
  • Suggest job-related improvements and cost-saving ideas.
  • Perform set-ups and quality troubleshooting as instructed.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • CNC machining experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of measurement math related to decimals and fractions.
  • Manufacturing experience with knowledge of machine function and interface.
