Overview

STS Technical Services is hiring a Mechanic in Hiram, Georgia, to support equipment assembly in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The Mechanic is responsible for safely assembling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components using detailed work instructions, blueprints, and a variety of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulic components using power tools and manual assembly techniques.
  • Install equipment accessories including decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
  • Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools including wrenches, hammers, and torque guns.
  • Measure materials and components accurately using tape measures and related tools.
  • Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
  • Read schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions to identify required options.
  • Lift and stack subassemblies and parts weighing up to 35 pounds independently.
  • Participate in team lifts for parts weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as required.
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Maintain attention to detail and established quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety requirements and 6S standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required by production demands.
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance.
  • At least six months of experience in manufacturing or general labor.
