Overview

Tempest Droneworx is a Houston-based defense technology company focused on integrating drones, sensors, and real-time intelligence software to enhance situational awareness and decision-making. They are seeking an energetic and adaptable Entry-Level Drone Technician to assist with the assembly, maintenance, and testing of drones and related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, maintain, and repair drones and related equipment
  • Perform soldering on wires, connectors, and electronic components
  • Build and organize wiring harnesses using proper cable-management practices
  • Design and modify basic components using Fusion 360
  • Operate and maintain 3D printers
  • Assist with the installation of motors, flight controllers, radios, cameras, and other components
  • Test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
  • Maintain organized tools, parts, batteries, and work areas
  • Document builds, repairs, inventory, and testing using Microsoft Office
  • Support demonstrations, field testing, and other projects as needed
  • Take on diverse responsibilities based on changing project needs

Requirements

  • Hands-on soldering experience
  • Strong cable-management and wiring skills
  • Experience with R/C aircraft, R/C cars, or similar hobby electronics
  • Experience with Fusion 360 and 3D printing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a willingness to take initiative
  • Eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies
  • Adaptable, dependable, and energetic
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Clean record and ability to pass a background check
  • U.S. citizenship required
