Overview

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment used in copper busbar manufacturing. This role also includes supporting the Project Manager in setting up the factory as MSS International opens its new facility.

Responsibilities

  • Support the PM in setting up the factory including electrical power line and compressed air network.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party for equipment maintenance or equipment rental.
  • Setup and commission new equipment.
  • Learn how to operate, setup and maintain the equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment.
  • Define and perform the scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate and prioritize work orders using the CMMS.
  • Respond to unplanned equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts usage logs, and PM documentation.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA, LOTO, and facility EHS procedures.
  • Support root-cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Manage parts inventory, vendor coordination, and maintenance scheduling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with PLCs, motor controls, and industrial electrical troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards, including LOTO and confined space procedures.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Basic computer proficiency for CMMS and maintenance record-keeping.
