Overview

The Assembler position involves assembling and testing valves according to Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines. The role requires adherence to technical specifications and maintaining an organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines.
• Test valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and application/customer requirements during production.
• Pull parts for purchasing, sales, production, and inventory orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Pull sales order jobs and I-jobs for vendors.
• Confirm that materials pulled match sales order documents, including parts identification and quantity.
• Have Shop Lead or HP Production Manager check order for accuracy before shipment.
• Write sales order number and job number on parts going out to vendor.
• Clock out order documentation via barcode after order is pulled.
• Call Shipping Department when order is pulled and write staging location on file.
• Stock inbound freight and replenish Warehouse locations.
• Clock inventory into the system through M2M via barcode after locating and stocking parts.
• Replenish pulling location from overstock locations as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and safety checks of equipment.
• Clean the department daily and back storage yard as needed.
• Perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months experience in assembly or relevant work experience.
• Must be able to work night shift.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality processes.
• Must be able to use pneumatic tools and hand tools.
• Prefer experience with actuators and automated valves.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read blueprints and interpret instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills.
• Strong ability to handle multiple demands with urgency and energy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
