Overview

Dexter Magnetic Technologies supplies specialized magnetic solutions and components to demanding applications in various industries. The QC Inspector II is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products meet quality standards through thorough inspections and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of components and assemblies.
  • Perform and approve first piece inspections in alignment with internal quality procedures.
  • Accurately compose customer documentation packets according to Dexter TF requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) with CALYPSO and MCOSMOS software.
  • Perform audits of in-process documentation and Epicor ERP transactions.
  • Document inspection results within the company’s quality systems.
  • Identify and manage non-conforming materials and collaborate for resolution.
  • Support other QC Inspectors with routine inspection tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in quality control inspection, preferably in aerospace or medical device.
  • Advanced in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Hands-on experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems; Epicor experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience with first article inspection and non-conformance reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and support a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
