Overview

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at their rental facility in Houston, TX. The company aims to transform the construction industry by empowering contractors and communities through innovative technology and real-time support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance and repair for a variety of heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts.
  • Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders.
  • Track machine service intervals and order parts.
  • Diagnose issues by pulling data from various makes and models.
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
  • Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
  • Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • High School diploma required; Trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Overtime pay after working 40 hours.
  • Role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation.
