Overview

At Vallourec, we are looking for passionate individuals to operate large capacity forklifts, specifically Volvo L150H and Deere 744K, to move oilfield tubulars and maintain records of products moved. This role is vital to our Shipping team and involves ensuring safe operations and proper handling of materials.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment safely.
  • Perform daily checks (maintenance) of equipment.
  • Transport pipe up to 50’ in length and loads up to 20,000 lbs. from process to process in an unpaved pipe yard.
  • Load and unload trucks carrying oilfield tubulars.
  • Maintain concise and accurate records of products moved.
  • Perform physical verification of product moved and enter tubular movements on computer.
  • Ensure proper handling/storage of product as required by customer and API specifications.
  • Maintain housekeeping in assigned work area.
  • Maintain correct inventory.
  • Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Inventory materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
  • Lubricate truck and fill fuel tank.
  • Fill in as yard helpers when asked by supervisors.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Read and comprehend work instructions written in English.

  • Possess a valid Driver’s License.

  • Ability to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to work out in elements (uncovered pipe yard).
