Overview

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is a leader in maintenance management, providing a range of facility and highway infrastructure services for over 65 years. They are seeking full-time Bridge Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Porter, Texas area, specifically on IH-45.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance operations related to highway maintenance, inspections, bridge and concrete repair, and structure maintenance.
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the construction industry.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge and structure construction, concrete form/placement, and repair work.
• Experience in roadway or tollway maintenance.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Organizational and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
• Ability to carry out simple arithmetic functions.
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology.
• Ability to use smartphone and applications.
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedules and multi-task.
• Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting.
• Ability to operate hand/power tools.

Additional Information

• Full time; Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, with some night and weekend work if needed.
• Must be able to work during snow and ice events.
• Will be placed on on-call schedule.
