Overview

Webber, part of Ferrovial Construction, is seeking a Carpenter for heavy civil projects. The role involves working from plans to build and assemble concrete structures while ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, fit together, align, plumb, and set in place forms for molding concrete structures.
  • Check forms while concrete is being placed.
  • Direct others in stripping forms after concrete is placed.
  • Install miscellaneous materials integral to concrete structures.
  • Install precast concrete elements.
  • Prepare for slipforming traffic rail and median barrier.
  • Install permanent metal deck forms.
  • Work with power tools as needed.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Less than High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 0-3 years of related construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.

  • Outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions.
  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
  • Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and loud noise levels.
