Job Description

Overview

Generant, founded in the early 1930s and headquartered in Butler, NJ, designs and manufactures valves and pressure regulators for various industries, focusing on Industrial Gases, Medical Gases, Energy, and Chemicals. The 2nd Shift Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing components into finished goods.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts using basic tools in a timely manner.
  • Test assembled parts using water, air, or gas pressure.
  • Visually inspect parts during the assembly process.
  • Perform duties such as engraving and packaging.
  • Maintain accurate counts of items assembled.
  • Keep the workspace clean, neat, and organized.
  • Be exceptionally detail-oriented.
  • Use a tablet system to receive and update work orders.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Perform the job with minimal supervision.
  • Complete other assignments as required by the Assembly Manager and Assistant Assembly Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Math Skills (measuring, use of calculator).
  • Ability to interpret diagrams.
  • Ability to comprehend basic engineering concepts and units of measure.
  • Ability to read and comprehend work-related materials in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to understand and complete verbal and written training materials in English.
