Overview

Swatch Group is the world's leading manufacturer of finished watches, encompassing 16 brands across various price segments. The Watchmaker / Watch Technician will be responsible for the watch repairing process, ensuring quality service for Swatch Group brands.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble all case components and check for waterproofness.
  • Perform full service on movements including dismantling, fixing broken parts, cleaning, reassembling, and adjusting.
  • Analyze and decide on proper methodologies for movement repairs.
  • Develop or use tools and processes to address repair issues.
  • Coordinate with the team to maintain equipment and order consumables.
  • Ensure all services are completed and watches are ready for customers.

Requirements

  • Watchmaking apprenticeship or Basic Certificate in Watch Repair TAFE course for partial repair.
  • Completion of a watchmaking apprenticeship with satisfactory results for complete repair.
  • Specialist knowledge of complicated movements or completion of a post-apprenticeship course like WOSTEP for specialist repair.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Drive for excellence and customer service focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
